Tattered Florals Project for Mother's Day

Tim Holtz is still taking entries for the Tattered Florals Challenge http://timholtz.com/tattered-floral-challenge/ and I got to thinking about how lovely some flowers would be for Mother's Day.

To me, Mother's Day is represented by delicate colors, elegance, and simplicity! These flowers were simple to create and use lots of upcycled materials found around the house.

Some cardboard from a 12 pack of soda covered in tissue paper, felt scraps, handmade paper, plastic packaging with a coat of paint, a bead, and an old painted button!

I attached the flowers to popsicle sticks and put them into a tiny fish bowl filled with bead necklaces that I caught at a Mardi Gras parade!
